2025 IDP Waiver Wire for Week 14

2025 IDP Waiver Wire for Week 14

Welcome to the 2025 IDP Waiver Wire For Week 14!

Well, kids, this is it. Endsville. Where all rail service terminates.

Week 14 brings with it the end of the regular season in most fantasy football leagues. After this week culminates, some fantasy managers will move on to fantasy’s second season. The goal they have been pursuing since September. The playoffs. But for others, this will be it. The end of the season. Downtown disappointment. Time to put up Christmas lights.

And for many fantasy managers, it all comes down to this week. Earn a victory in Week 14, and it’s on to the postseason. Take a loss, and that’s that. No more fantasy football. Off to the garage to dig out the inflatables.

The “survive and advance” nature of the week for many ratchets up the pressure on fantasy managers to 11. There’s no margin for error. No room for mistakes. The best possible players at each position need to be in lineups.

And that leaves more than a few folks in a bind. Because injuries don’t care what week it is. At least we don’t have another six-team bye week in Week 14 this year (despite my flashbacks to 2024), but with IDPs like New York Giants edge-rusher Brian Burns on siesta, there are plenty of managers with glaring holes in their lineups at the worst possible time.

Not only do fantasy managers have to fill those holes, but it’s imperative those holes are filled with the right players.

Wait. That just ratchets up the pressure on me to recommend the right guys.

Well, crap.

IDP PICKUP OF THE WEEK

LB Germaine Pratt, Indianapolis

After a tumultuous start to the season with the Raiders that ended with his release, Pratt was reunited with former Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo in Indianapolis. Pratt has moved into the starting lineup for the Colts, and as Drake Wally wrote for SI, the seventh-year veteran has been on a roll of late.

“Since being acquired, linebacker Germaine Pratt has done well operating in Lou Anarumo’s scheme, putting up 67 tackles, four pass breakups, and four tackles for loss over seven games with Indy,” he said. “Against the Texans, he continued his great pace after logging an impressive 20 tackles against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12. Pratt finished with nine tackles, five solo tackles, and a pass breakup (in Week 13). If Pratt can keep up this type of momentum, he may warrant a new contract from the Colts to retain his services past this year.”

Over the last two weeks, there isn’t a linebacker in fantasy football with more points than Pratt in the Godfather’s Default IDP Scoring. Pratt also has a snap share north of 80 percent in each of the past four games, so he should have opportunities to produce again this week against the first-place Jacksonville Jaguars.

WEEK 14 IDP WAIVER WIRE TARGETS

EDGE YaYa Diaby, Tampa Bay: Diaby hasn’t had the breakout in 2025 that some idiots (like this one) predicted back in September. But after logging sacks in each of the past two games, Diaby is up to six on the season ahead of this week’s home date with a two-win New Orleans Saints team led by a rookie quarterback.

EDGE Jaelan Phillips, Philadelphia: Phillips hasn’t done a lot since joining the Eagles—just four tackles the past two weeks and one sack in four contests. But the next two weeks, the Eagles face the Los Angeles Chargers and Las Vegas Raiders—two teams who have struggled mightily protecting the quarterback in 2025.

EDGE Dallas Turner, Minnesota: While Jonathan Greenard has struggled mightily this season, Turner has been on a rip—his four sacks over the last three weeks are twice as many as Greenard has all season long. Minnesota’s first-round pick from a season ago appears to be coming into his own—maybe the Vikings can get him to play quarterback.

LB DeMarvion Overshown, Dallas: In his three games this season, Overshown hasn’t been particularly productive, logging just 12 total tackles. But the second-year pro’s snaps have gone up with each and every game, and Overshown could hit cruising speed at the perfect time for fantasy managers.

LB Shaq Thompson, Buffalo: Thompson took over green dot duties last week with Terrel Bernard sidelined by a dislocated elbow. The long-time Carolina Panther had nine total tackles in the game, and over a decade in the NFL Thompson has logged 100 tackles in a season on four separate occasions.

LB Quincy Williams, New York Jets: This analyst is legitimately surprised by how many leagues Williams is available in. Williams hasn’t had more than eight total tackles in a game this season. But he’s an every-down linebacker who has a history of production, and those aren’t especially easy to find in Week 14.

S Reed Blankenship, Philadelphia: We weren’t even sure if Blankenship would play on Black Friday. Not only did he play, but Blankenship led the Eagles with 14 total tackles in a terrible IDP matchup on paper for safeties. Over his last two starts, Blankenship has logged 22 total tackles and added an interception. This time of year, hot hands can make all the difference in the world.

S Will Harris, Washington: Harris saw his first action since Week 3 in last week’s overtime loss to the Denver Broncos. His six total tackles with a pass defensed aren’t numbers that will knock anyone’s socks off, but Harris played 55 snaps and should see his snap share increase in Minnesota Sunday against a Vikings team that turned the ball over all the times ever in Week 13.

S Kevin Winston, Tennessee: Winston had his second big game in a row in last week’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, tallying eight total tackles and a sack. At this point in an awful season, the Titans should be seeing what they have in the young players on the roster—and rolling out Winston the rest of the year.
