2025 Waiver Wire for Week 12

2025 Waiver Wire for Week 12

Welcome to the 2025 Waiver Wire for Week 12!

We have finally reached a week in the season where the waiver wire is chock-full of potential contributors and big producers as well. We have had some good weeks here and there on the waiver wire this season, but nothing like this. This is by FAR the best week that we have had for waivers this entire season. Stock up while you can, people, because injuries are unfortunately continuing to pile up, and we are inching oh so closer to the fantasy playoffs. Take it in. This is an OUTSTANDING week to go wild on the waiver wire.

Disclaimer: Waiver Wire Rostership Percentages from Sleeper, ESPN, & Yahoo, as well as the Combined Rostership Percentages, will not exceed 50% Also, fantasy point scoring will be represented from a Half-PPR perspective.

Teams on Bye Week: Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders

Quarterbacks

Bryce Young

Percent Rostered on Sleeper (16%), ESPN (7.5%), & Yahoo (13%):

Combined Consensus Rostership Percentage: 12.2%

Waiver Wire Analysis:

It finally happened. Bryce Young finally built off of what we saw from him down the stretch last season. Yes, indeed, Young will probably not have the really high amount of pass attempts that he had this past week from now on, but that’s ok, because if he stays efficient and precise with those throws, no matter what the passing volume may look like, he will enter himself into a prime streaming option at the QB position every single week. Plus, it seems like breakout rookie receiver Tet McMillan has finally found his stride in the NFL, so Bryce Young looks to have a true, alpha #1 WR going forward.

Next 3 Opponents: San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Rams, BYE

Trevor Lawrence`

Percent Rostered on Sleeper (35%), ESPN (24.5%), & Yahoo (41%):

Combined Consensus Rostership Percentage: 33.5%

Waiver Wire Analysis:

I know that Trevor Lawrence can be very frustrating/up and down on a week-to-week basis, but he has been a bit better from a fantasy perspective this season than you might initially think. The concern with Lawrence is that his floor is pretty low, and it could all bottom out at any given moment, unfortunately. But from a ceiling perspective, when everything is clicking and going right for Lawrence, the highs are really high and pretty good even. Trevor Lawrence is probably a bit more matchup-based for fantasy than most other QBs, but that’s perfectly ok, because at the end of the day, that’s what a streaming QB like this is after all, right?

Next 3 Opponents: Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts

Running Backs

Sean Tucker

Percent Rostered on Sleeper (29%), ESPN (28.6%), & Yahoo (26%):

Combined Consensus Rostership Percentage: 27.9%

Statistics of The Week:

Waiver Wire Analysis:

To me, the Tampa Bay backfield is currently very messy and confusing to navigate. Bucky Irving could finally be back this week. Rachaad White has shown promise before, but slowed down over the last few weeks, and Sean Tucker just had a breakout game for the Buccaneers this past week. So, suppose Bucky Irving continues to be out and miss time. In that case, I personally believe that Sean Tucker has overtaken Rachaad White in this backfield and will receive more of the workload between the two going forward until Irving returns.

Next 3 Opponents: Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints

Emanuel Wilson

Percent Rostered on Sleeper (13%), ESPN (5.9%), & Yahoo (8%):

Combined Consensus Rostership Percentage: 9%

Statistics of The Week:

Advanced Statistics

Waiver Wire Analysis:

At the time of this writing, it is being reported that Josh Jacobs avoided a serious knee injury this past week and should only miss one or two weeks at most with said knee injury. But that’s still reason to get excited for Emanuel Wilson if you ask me, because even when Jacobs does come back, there is always a risk of re-injury, and if that happens, EVERYBODY will be rushing to the waiver wire to pick up Wilson. So, beat your league mates to the punch for this scenario and pick up Emanuel Wilson THIS WEEK.

Next 3 Opponents: Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears

Chris Rodriguez

Percent Rostered on Sleeper (30%), ESPN (6.7%), & Yahoo 12%):

Combined Consensus Rostership Percentage: 16.2%

Statistics of The Week:

Advanced Statistics

Waiver Wire Analysis:

This is a tough pill to swallow because of all the extreme hype that he has gotten this entire season up to this point, but it seems that Jacory Croskey-Merritt has been flat-out benched in Washington. He was technically still active this past week vs. the Dolphins, but barely got any touches at all compared to a guy like Chris Rodriguez, which signals to me that JCM will scarcely be involved in the offense as a whole going forward, if at all. Yes, Chris Rodriguez doesn’t really catch passes, but if he is now the workhorse in Washington going forward and the preferred goal-line back, there is immense value to be had there.

Next 3 Opponents: BYE, Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings

Wide Receivers

Christian Watson

Percent Rostered on Sleeper (38%), ESPN (26.2%), & Yahoo (34%):

Combined Consensus Rostership Percentage: 32.7%

Statistics of The Week:

Advanced Statistics

Waiver Wire Analysis:

We know that historically, the Packers have utilized a WR by committee approach, but it seems that one player in particular has finally broken away from that trend: Christian Watson. Watson is a big play waiting to happen, and he has clearly become a favorite of Jordan Love’s in the red zone. The weapons outside of Watson in Green Bay are pretty uninspiring, to say the least. Matthew Golden is unfortunately just not a thing as a rookie, Romeo Doubs struggles with drops weekly at this point, it seems, and Luke Musgrave is stuck in an annoying TE rotation in this offense. Christian Watson is the definition of upside in this Green Bay Packers offense.

Next 3 Opponents: Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears

Jayden Higgins

Percent Rostered on Sleeper (21%), ESPN (19.7%), & Yahoo (16%):

Combined Consensus Rostership Percentage: 18.9%

Statistics of The Week:

Advanced Statistics

Waiver Wire Analysis:

We as a fantasy community have been BEGGING the Houston Texans to feature Jayden Higgins more and more as a full time player in their offense all season long, and well, it seems like they have finally done that. Thank god. Over the last couple weeks, Jayden Higgins has gotten quite a bit of opportunity in this Texans offense on the field, and he has absolutely taken advantage of that increased opportunity. It seems that Higgins has firmly cemented himself as the #2 option opposite Nico Collins in this Houston Texans offense as that big, explosive downfield deep threat.

Next 3 Opponents: Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs

Michael Wilson

Percent Rostered on Sleeper (39%), ESPN (15.2%), & Yahoo (47%):

Combined Consensus Rostership Percentage: 33.7%

Statistics of The Week:

Advanced Statistics

Waiver Wire Analysis:

Whew, have a DAY, Michael Wilson! In the absence of Marvin Harrison Jr. this past week, Wilson stepped up BIG TIME for this Arizona Cardinals offense. It definitely helped that Jacoby Brissett had 57 pass attempts on the day, but still, what a performance from Michael Wilson. While it is unlikely that he will ever repeat this unreal performance, Michael Wilson is a must-roster player at this point in the season, as it appears Marvin Harrison Jr. will miss at least a few more weeks due to appendicitis.

Next 3 Opponents: Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles Rams

Tight Ends

AJ Barner

Percent Rostered on Sleeper (17%), ESPN (9.5%), & Yahoo (9%):

Combined Consensus Rostership Percentage: 11.9%

Statistics of The Week:

Advanced Statistics

Waiver Wire Analysis:

This is a high-flying passing attack in Seattle, and based on this past week, it appears to be a very condensed target tree through the air: JSN and AJ Barner. Cooper Kupp has been completely phased out of this offense, and Rashid Shaheed is still seemingly getting acclimated to his new team. AJ Barner is on the field a ton due to Seattle’s willingness to play various personnel packages, making him a PREMIER streaming option at the TE position every single week.

Next 3 Opponents: Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons

Chig Okonkwo

Percent Rostered on Sleeper (11%), ESPN (6.3%), & Yahoo (15%):

Combined Consensus Rostership Percentage: 10.8%

Statistics of The Week:

Advanced Statistics

Waiver Wire Analysis:

I know what you’re all thinking right now. “Aidan, why the hell would I want to invest in the Titans’ offense?!” Well….SOMEBODY has to catch the ball for Cam Ward and this offense. Calvin Ridley is out for the season, Chimere Dike suffered a concussion this past week, and Elic Ayomanor hasn’t done anything at all this season. It’s time for Chig Okonkwo to step up at the TE position for this team. I’ve personally always been a big fan of Okonkwo, and now he’s finally getting his opportunity. Even in a very subpar offense, the targets will absolutely be there for Okonkwo weekly going forward this season.

Next 3 Opponents: Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns

D/ST

Cleveland Browns

Percent Rostered on Sleeper (33%), ESPN (40.7%), & Yahoo (48%):

Combined Consensus Rostership Percentage: 40.6%

Waiver Wire Analysis:

This is simple. Cleveland has boasted one of the NFL’s best defenses this year, and anytime you go up against Geno Smith and the very poor Raiders offense, it’s an automatic dominant day. Myles Garrett is going to eat this horrible Raiders offensive line alive. Don’t overthink it.

Next 3 Opponents: Las Vegas Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, Tennessee Titans
