2026 Fantasy NFL Free Agent Wide Receivers: Part 2

2026 Fantasy NFL Free Agent Wide Receivers: Part 2

2026 NFL Free Agency is right around the corner, which means that a LOT will change across the fantasy football landscape over the next couple of months. New scheme implementations, multiple already established veterans being positively or negatively affected throughout this entire cycle, and most importantly, notable player movement and new landing spots.

In today’s 2026 Fantasy NFL Free Agent Wide Receivers: Part 2, I am going to be looking at two different angles for all of these free agent wide receivers: what their 2026 fantasy football outlook would look like if they stayed with their current team, and what their 2026 fantasy football outlook would look like if they went somewhere else, highlighting what that specific landing spot could be.

Romeo Doubs

Romeo Doubs is starting to get more and more free agency buzz lately, as he should, because the player has gotten progressively better every single year of his career. Is Doubs the most athletic and speediest WR in the world? No, but his separation metrics and contested catch numbers are off the charts. Plus, he’s a pretty decent route runner for a “bigger” WR, too. The young receiver finished with a 55% contested catch rate last season and ranked 15th in Average Separation Score amongst WRs that ran at least 300 routes as well, per the Fantasy Points Data Suite.

Yes, it is true that Romeo Doubs has been Green Bay’s best and most consistent WR over the last couple of years, but it is very unlikely that Doubs resigns with the franchise in free agency this offseason, in my eyes at least. If you bring back Romeo Doubs, then what was the point of extending Christian Watson a year early last offseason and drafting Matthew Golden in the first round last year? It would just make no sense at all.

Honestly, though, fantasy managers should be ELATED that this player is moving on from Green Bay, as we know how much of an absolute HEADACHE that WR room can be for fantasy purposes. You never know who’s going to play when and how much, let alone who’s going to produce on a weekly basis during the season.

Assuming Romeo Doubs moves on from the Green Bay Packers this offseason, the player sliding into the Pittsburgh Steelers as the immediate, unquestioned WR2 there makes a TON of sense. Aaron Rodgers is likely returning to Pittsburgh for one final season with Mike McCarthy in 2026, and the veteran QB still loves to throw the deep ball at this point in his career, which is where Doubs excels. In this scenario, everyone would be hyper-focused on DK Metcalf next year, but Romeo Doubs would become a great value in fantasy drafts because of that.

Alec Pierce

Alec Pierce is THE NAME at the WR position in free agency this year, as he crossed 1,000 receiving yards in 2025 for the first time in his career. So he is clearly just getting started in terms of high-level production in the NFL. The most attractive aspect of Pierce’s game is that he is arguably the best deep threat in the league, as he posted an absurd 19.4 aDOT last season and averaged 21.34 yards per reception. The numbers don’t lie.

The Indianapolis Colts opted not to place the franchise tag on Alec Pierce, but it sounds like the two sides will eventually be able to agree on a big, long-term extension. This would be the ideal outcome for fantasy purposes, if you ask me, because we already have a proof of concept with this player in this environment. Plus, there are rumors swirling around right now that the Colts could move on from Michael Pittman Jr. via a cut within the next week, which would leave behind a ton of new targets for Pierce, plus what he already got last season.

Sure, there are questions at QB in Indy right now, including the injury status of Daniel Jones, but Alec Pierce separates at such a high level and gets downfield so quickly to the point that it may not matter as much at the end of the day.

There is no real clean fit for Alec Pierce in free agency this year outside of the Indianapolis Colts, but one team that makes at least some level of sense is the Denver Broncos. The Broncos have Courtland Sutton, but outside of that, they have just supporting-level receivers in Troy Franklin, Pat Bryant, and Marvin Mims. All three of those players are decent enough to some extent, but I personally feel that they are all niche, role-specific type players. One trick ponies if you will.

Denver needs another true target earner at WR that can work in tandem with Courtland Sutton and stand out more. Sutton and Pierce are both big-bodied receivers; Pierce is just the much younger and more explosive version of Sutton.

Wan’Dale Robinson

Believe it or not, Wan’Dale Robinson has been one of the top target earners in the entire NFL over the last two seasons, as the player totaled 133 and 132 targets in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Also, in the past, Robinson’s usage has been very close to the line of scrimmage and in the short areas of the field, making him a PPR machine, but there has never been any real upside beyond that.

In 2025, however, his aDOT jumped to a career-high 8.3, showing he can handle an expanded level of usage. Wan’Dale Robinson is strictly a slot receiver, pretty much (67.5% slot rate last season), but that is perfectly fine because slot players usually provide fantasy managers with great success.

If Wan’Dale Robinson returned to the New York Giants as a free agent this offseason, it would be pretty disappointing because it would just be more of the same. A high volume slot receiver with little upside. Not to mention Malik Nabers and the fact that the Giants could very well take a top WR prospect 5th overall at the end of April, so Robinson’s standing on the depth chart would be far from locked in within this scenario.

The fit with the Tennessee Titans is way too obvious not to predict, as Brian Daboll is now the OC there, who was Wan’Dale Robinson’s head coach with the New York Giants. Daboll knows how to scheme up plays for Robinson and potentially expand his usage even more. Calvin Ridley is almost assuredly going to be cut very soon, so the Titans are going to need WRs BADLY. I like Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike a decent amount, but I view them more as WR3/4 types than as full-time, true target earners. Drop Wan’Dale Robinson into this ascending Tennessee Titans offense with Cam Ward, and he would continue to put up his insane target numbers. It would be glorious.
